Event Details
Come one Come all to band together with other dba’s to defend your valley from the competition. No were not talking about a real battle but we are talking about a friendly competition between the SLC User group and the Utah county user group.
A new idea we’ve been working on is to create issues inside databases and as a user group solve those issues. We decided to take this one step further and mark it as a competition between the two user groups.
We will have identical Databases’s setup on My computer and Tjay’s computer the group will decide what steps should be done after they have been told the problem. After the problem is resolved we’ll come back together with SLC and UT to see who did it the quickest and the best. This is a great way to learn to work as a group and to see other ways of fixing a problem. Right now the problems in the database have not been decided but we will have that info before the meeting. This may be something like fixing corruption,server won’t start, or major performance issues. All of these for the time being will be on SQL 2000
